A post from Arywen 2025-01-16

Hello again everybody!

Today, I want to do what I did last time; however, I will also talk a little more about my life.

Okay, let’s begin! Alright, first off I am tremendously happy about getting three books yesterday that I have been wanting to have for a long time, books about stars. I love looking up at the night heavens before bed, but I always felt that I missed something. That missing feeling came from the fact that I knew nothing about them. Especially the names and locations of constellations. Now I can fix that! There are going to be some late cold nights from now on where you will find me stargazing & searching for constellations! Secondly, life has been so busy that the last week has been a blur. First and foremost, Daddy has started teaching us martial arts three times a week! Even though my siblings and I are very sloppy, not strong in our kicks, and slow, it is the most fun and amazing part of my day! Then online classes started up again which is the main cause of a busy and blurry week. Thirdly I have been keeping a water consumption chart (8 glasses a day) and I have been doing a workout called “Yoga Booty Ballet” using 8-pound weights. I have not kept up on that as well as some other goals but I have determined this week not to repeat that. Now that I have talked about my life let’s dive into a Monologue that I did last semester that I am proud of like my Abraham Lincoln letter that I shared last time that I wrote for this blog.

The assignment was to write a Monologue. What is in a monologue quote:

In a monologue, a character expresses thoughts in an uninterrupted flow, with no other character’s words intervening. Monologues in literature often explore a character’s feelings. They may be addressed to an absent or abstract listener, or they may be more random, following a person’s train of thought.

The requirements for our monologue were

Write a one-page prose monologue in your own voice or that of a fictional character, that explores an emotion, such as grief, anger, or joy. Use your monologue to reveal details about your speaker’s personality and the reasons for his or her emotional response

I hope you enjoyed this post and have a great week!
