A New Blog 2023-10-08

We have had blogs in the past and they have been wonderful to go back and look at, so Jordan and I wanted to start it up again. I have to admit that with everything going on I have a hard time reaching out to everyone. I plan to post once a week and hope that you all will find it a good way to keep track of us even if I’m not very communicative otherwise. With five kids, one husband and a yurt I have my hands full. Please know that I think of you all often and hope that I will hear from you all when you have a moment.

This last week had a lot in it for us. Sunday was wonderful we got to stay home for conference. It was a very peaceful day with lots of thought about the Holy Ghost and being more Christ like. But I think Satan had the calendar marked for the day after conference. “God had you for a day so now I get you for a day”. It was a very bad Monday… Three dinner plates and a cup broke all over the floor, a child got their toe cut, Jordan told a long-term client that he was leaving… The list could go on and on, Monday was very bad day to say the least. We got life back on track with lots of work and love.

The high note of the week was Ronia’s first birthday. The day before her birthday I found a wood rocking horse at a killer price. I brought it home and I have to admit that it never got wrapped up because the moment she saw it, it was love at first sight. She was so happy with it and loved getting to ride and brush it. It was a very well-groomed horse by the time she got done with it. The next day we made Chocolate cake for her and had a wonderful birthday lunch because we needed to go into town that night for the other girls church activities. Ronia did not so much blow out her candle as drooled on it. Hay, it worked and that is all that mattered. She is very into life and loves helping around the house with sweeping. She is the dustpan lady. Any time there is a pile of dust she loves to help with the dustpan and get the dirt in the garbage. She claps after each time. She has is a joy to have and a wonderful addition to our family. I look forward to seeing her grow in the coming years. This year seems to have gone so fast… I think it might have to do with the fact that with five children there is never a slow moment. It has been different to think about the coming years. When Ronia is 6, Arywen will be 20… It’s different to have so many levels of children going on at once. And as I face the fact that we need to start teaching Arywen how to drive I still have one that needs to be potty trained. Life is very full right now and there is no place I would rather be.
